Part of My Prana by Jeremiah Stansbury
|
Mesdames et
Messieurs
by Christopher Mulrooney
a curse and a blessing shape themselves
on ladies’ lips
to fabricate the meaning of a day
a week or a year
as this one Fie I wish you gone
into your aesthetic purpose from my sight
and this one
Beetles eat you
or Give me a ring and let’s be alone
vast bad jokes redeem themselves as fish
saints catch that opened show a ring
the one a human finger wears to work
or bed or somewhere altogether foreign a capital
say
wear you one discussingly while the frank oblivion
wears your smile that other one you don’t show
no not that one that one that’s the one that’s it
